A couple of weeks ago I was fortunate enough to see a screening of the documentary HEAL, directed by Kelly Gores. It’s takes you on a scientific and spiritual journey that brings the connection of these even closer. We are our thoughts, beliefs and emotions and our bodies take on these, good and bad deep within our cells and genes. This film celebrates the miracle that is the human body, its ability to heal itself, the deep connections between our mind and body and the healer within us.
It’s a film that requires you to open your mind, be willing to believe you are infinitely more powerful than you think and embrace the possibility that you are indeed the greatest healer of your body. That we in fact do have more control over our health than what we have been taught to believe. The journey you go on I’m sure many will find a challenging concept and roll their eyes. For this very reason I believe everyone needs to watch it. The film will ignite your curiosity, making you look at your own life, health and spiritual journey. This kind of information needs to be shared and it’s up to you as to whether you choose to embrace it or not.
The film doesn’t suggest ignoring the profound impact of modern medicine, rather it looks at all forms of healing, that the mind and body connection really does exist and that we need to be open and willing to incorporate these into our own healing practices.
You get to hear from leading scientists and spiritual teachers such as Deepak Chopra, Marianne Williamson, Dr Joe Dispenza, Dr Bruce Lipton, Michael Beckwith, Dr Kelly Turner and Dr Kelly Brogan to name a few. It also follows the health and healing journeys of 3 people, showing that everyone’s healing is unique, personal and challenging on all levels not just physical.
I came away feeling so much gratitude and love for my body and felt even more motivated to continue my own journey of celebrating my body, my health and inspiring people like you to do the same. Let’s face it we are constantly focusing, thinking of everything we don’t like about our bodies, the way it looks, feels and moves.
Just think for moment, by simply changing your thoughts, beliefs and emotions towards your body and yourself, to become more positive and loving towards yourself and your body, celebrating you inside and out, your body will begin to heal itself. You will start to look, feel and move better, become more connected with who you are; and you haven’t even begun to do anything that includes external sources. Now if that doesn’t make you reconsider the connection between your mind and body I don’t know what will.
Just for a moment I want you to take a deep breath in and out, now celebrate your mind how powerful and intelligent it is, take another deep breath in and out now celebrate your body, how its taken that deep breath for you just then, how your heart continues to play it’s unique and beautiful song. Take another deep breath in and out now celebrate you, everything that makes you, you. Take one last deep breath in and out. How did that feel? You just helped your body to do what it does best HEAL.
Celebrate you inside and out, embrace the power that is within you and begin to celebrate and own your health journey.
