Peanut Butter Acai Bowl
This yummy bowl is a combination of a few recipes I found. There are so many great things about smoothie bowls. They look so pretty, like a little celebration in a bowl and they remind me of spring. They are so good for you, this one is high in antioxidants and are so easy to make like 10 minutes, a little longer if you want to make it pretty. Which, I think giving that extra little bit of love and finishing touches makes it taste even better. You can celebrate your creativity and design your own by swapping some of the ingredients. For example, if you don’t like almond milk you can use coconut milk, or use different berries.
1 frozen Banana
1 tablespoon Acai powder
1 cup of frozen berries, I used ½ each blueberries and raspberries
1 heaped tablespoon peanut butter, extra tablespoon to serve
1 tablespoon cacao powder
I tablespoon maple syrup (optional)
1 cup of almond milk or milk of choice
Selection of your favourite toppings. I used fresh blueberries, raspberries, shaved coconut, dried edible flowers, freeze dried raspberries ,almond slivers, walnuts and of course extra peanut butter.
Combine all ingredients together in a blender, (I used my Nutribullet) and blend, it needs to be thick so don’t blend too much. Pour into a bowl and start decorating to your hearts content with your favourite toppings, don’t forget to top it off with the extra peanut butter. There you have it a Celebration in a Bowl. Hope you enjoy.
